The 2017 Hispanicize Tecla Awards was held at the historic Olympia Theatre, South Florida’s most iconic performing arts center. The 3rd Annual Hispanicize Tecla Awards is the most prestigious national honor highlighting the achievements of top Latino and multicultural content creators.
Eliecer Marte was named a finalist in the “Best Digital Journalist” category.
Alexandra Olavarria was named a finalist in the “Best Snapchat Storyteller” category.
Andrea Minski presented the “Breakout Creator of the Year” category.
Adriana Martin presented the “Best Comedy Creator” category.
The actual winners of the 3rd Annual Tecla Awards were announced the night of April 6th, 2017 during the Hispanicize Tecla Awards ceremony, which were streamed live from Miami for viewers worldwide and marks the closing event for Hispanicize 2017. This year the Teclas received more than 1,500 nominations, nearly four times more than for the inaugural 2015 competition, and represents a fantastic line-up of talented Latino and multicultural content creators.
