Over 3,200 Participants Unite in Miami for the St. Jude Walk, Raising Over $530,000 for Lifesaving Research

On Saturday, September 27, more than 3,200 passionate participants gathered at the Miami Fairgrounds for the St. Jude Walk, raising an impressive $500,000+ in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. The annual event, presented by La Colonia Medical Center, was held in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, bringing together families, supporters, and corporate partners for a day of hope and impact.

The walk served as a powerful platform to raise awareness and funds for St. Jude’s mission: Finding cures. Saving children.® Everywhere. Thanks to the generosity of donors, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food — allowing them to focus entirely on helping their child live.

“Every step we took was a promise of hope for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and together we made history as the first team to raise over $70,000 in the Miami walk as well as the first time the event surpassed a half million dollars. With love and purpose, we’re proving that no family has to face childhood cancer alone,” says Jenisbel Acevedo, President of the Acevedo Foundation and Co-Chair of the 2025 Miami Walk.
